CULTIVATING COMMUNITY: AGCAROLINA FARM CREDIT AWARDS OVER $45,000 IN GRANTS TO STRENGTHEN RURAL COMMUNITIES

Greenville, NC – AgCarolina Farm Credit is proud to announce the award of more than $45,000 in grant funding to fifteen organizations dedicated to cultivating stronger rural communities throughout North Carolina. AgCarolina is committed to enhancing the quality of life and future opportunities for North Carolina rural residents and their communities in the areas of education, environment, technology, and quality of rural life.

Grant recipients were recognized during a special reception with AgCarolina Farm Credit’s Board of Directors on December 18th, celebrating the shared commitment to agriculture and rural prosperity. Grant funds were awarded to the following organizations: 

  • Ayden Grifton HS FFA serving Pitt County

  • Ayden Middle School TSA serving Pitt County

  • Boys & Girls Clubs of the Coastal Plains serving Beaufort, Carteret, Craven, Greene, Lenoir, Martin, Pitt counties

  • Children's Cancer Partners of the Carolinas serving all NC counties

  • Duplin Christian Outreach Ministries serving Duplin County

  • Eastern Wayne FFA serving Wayne County 

  • Food Bank of Central and Eastern NC serving 34 NC counties

  • Gaston VFD serving Northampton County 

  • Hugo VFD serving Lenoir County 

  • Martin Soil and Water Conservation District serving Martin County 

  • NC Center for Poultry Education serving 16 NC counties 

  • Ripe for Revival serving 17 NC counties 

  • SEND A VET FOUNDATION serving Cumberland, Hoke, and Onslow counties 

  • The Roanoke Valley Rescue Squad Inc serving Halifax County 

  • Wake Soil and Water Conservation District serving Wake County
